Lincoln Park Zoo is Chicago’s free zoo dedicated to conservation.
I worked in-house to create beautiful designs and photographs to mirror their bold ideas and goals.
With the in-house creative team, I with designed and produced various print and digital projects (marketing collateral, event promotions, signage, digital graphics, flyers, brochures, iconography/vector work, and infographics). As a photographer I provided creative perspectives to photograph the animals in a new light. I proved to be a key component in many projects. Using the zoo's brand guidelines while staying creative, I found joy in designing fun but informative layouts.
Street Banners
To help refresh the banner designs that hang along all the streets surrounding LPZ, I decided to incorporate striking macro images with various brand colors and the logo. This was a project that all the designers worked on, and everyone ended up loving my designs. The banners hung for a full year, and since 2018 they have kept my macro banner idea, which I am wild about!
Habitat Maps
These maps I designed show the native areas of various animals. The team asked me to help make maps of animal habitats that would work together cohesively. I had to take maps showing the animal habitats and acutely translate it onto the newly designed maps, which proved to be a tedious but very rewarding process. The team was extremely happy with the result, and these will be the maps that are shown in front of each animal's exhibit.
Notecards to Donors
Sent out as complimentary cards to all the generous donors, my cards featuring my photographs were a huge hit.
Goat Icons
These goat icons I designed joined a much bigger family of animal icons that the zoo uses on its map, and throughout the zoo. Using the same techniques as were used for the previous icons, I was able to construct this goat icon that works as both a filled version and an outlined version.

Zoo Timeline
To update an existing physical timeline for the zoo, I combed through data, photos, dates and more to put together an updated timeline that highlighted the zoo’s most exciting and interesting times and accomplishments. This timeline was broken up into various cases, but I compiled each panel here.
